Accelerate and realize Andre’s vision
Dear Andre,
Since my first visit to Belitung in 2019, I have felt very strongly about its undiscovered, raw, and barefoot beauty. I see how its natural and indigenous qualities can put Belitung on the regional tourism map. I know this is also your purpose and mission, and I believe only a small number of people truly understand this vision. I am one of them.
You asked me to help you get this project accepted as a Design Hotels™ member. Design Hotels look for a strong concept, real and detailed plans, and a hotel that is being seriously prepared for construction and opening.
Right now, your project has reached an important moment. You selected the location, made some drawings, and many ideas in your head. But they are not yet organized into one clear plan that can be executed. To turn your vision into a real, world-class resort — and to make Design Hotels membership realistic — we now need a clear concept, a brand and strong project management.
In this proposal, I lay out a simple breakdown of the full scope-of-work: planning, design support, marketing strategy, and operator selection.

Scope-of-work
This scope-of-work (the Services) is for Phase 1 (an 18-month plan) from initial project schedule development to basic and detailed design development and operator (or membership) selection. This does not include resort construction and pre-opening, which is Phase 2.
Project Management
- Develop detailed project schedule and get Andre’s approval
- Form project team
- Monthly project management reviews and reports to Andre
Concept Development
- Develop early-stage conceptual planning
- High-level project feasibility and business case
Brand & Marketing Strategy Development
- Positioning and target market strategy
- Brand Identity and Visual Identity development
Basic Design & Development Approvals
- Interview and select architect
- Approve schematic design and basic designs
- Prepare development drawings and application documents
- Submit for design approval to operator (or membership, if necessary)
Operating model decision
- Develop hotel operator (or membership i.e. Design Hotels) presentation
- Conduct hotel operator (or membership) meetings and begin LOU negotiations
- Complete LOU signing
Detailed Design, Interior Design, Engineering
- Interior & landscape designer selection
- Detailed design production
- Construction document production
- FFE planning
Final Operator Decision
- Draft operator (or membership) contract documentation
- Finalize operator (or membership) agreement and signing
Fees & Expenses
Base Fees
SGD 4,500 per month
Base Fee is based on allocating 3 days per month to the Services.
Additional Fees
If the Services exceeds 3 days per month, Additional Services will be provided at USD 200.00 per hour.
Travel Expenses
Essential business travel expenses (airfare, local ground transport, lodging and meals during site visits/meetings, and necessary local costs) will be billed separately.
Terms & Conditions
Term
Begins on January 1, 2026
Termination
If the Client desires to terminate the Services, Client must submit a written request to Company at least fourteen (14) days prior to the desired date of termination.
Upon termination, all fees for Services rendered up to the termination date shall be immediately due and payable.
Payment
Base Fees shall be payable on the first day of each calendar month for that month during the Term.
All payments are due immediately upon invoicing and shall be made by international wire transfer to the bank account designated by the company.
All fees are quoted exclusive of any local or international taxes, duties, or bank charges. Any such applicable taxes, duties, or charges shall be borne and paid by the Client in addition to the stated fees.
